Light Without Borders (LWB) Signs Strategic Partnership with SPT Group
Empowering Global Communities with Clean Energy and Youth-Driven Action
On July 25, 2025, Light Without Borders Foundation (LWB) and California-based energy technology leader SPT Group officially signed a strategic partnership agreement in Washington, D.C. The partnership marks a new milestone for LWB’s global initiatives, as SPT’s independently developed smart renewable energy systems will now support LWB’s mission to bring clean, reliable power to remote conservation areas, indigenous territories, and off-grid communities.
LWB was founded by a group of young changemakers committed to environmental and social justice. The foundation is dedicated to addressing energy inequality through youth-led innovation and sustainable solutions. At its core, LWB believes that light is the equal right of every life.
As a recognized platform for global youth participation, the LWB founding team was also invited to attend the International Leadership Foundation (ILF) Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., and has been invited to formally apply this November for the ILF 2026 Civic Fellowship Program. Representing LWB’s real-world impact through technology and service, the three co-founders will bring their vision to a broader network of Chinese American youth leaders focused on civic engagement and global responsibility.
As a leading force in North America’s clean energy sector, SPT Group is committed to “Technology for Good, Responsibility First.” Through this partnership, SPT will provide cutting-edge smart solar and energy storage systems to support LWB’s field projects, and collaborate in building a global youth energy education and action platform.

This collaboration also launches LWB’s next-phase global campaign, Light Without Borders: Light with Love, expanding from North America to reach conservation sites and underserved regions across Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.
